Knots & Socks has been open in the Putney Exchange for a few weeks now, and it's been great to catch up with lots of customers that have visited our pop-ups in the past. We've been far busier than we expected, so 'Thank You' for the warm welcome back!
You can get our full range of Reef Knots products in the shop, and we're still open for business as usual down in Leadenhall Market.
You can find us on the Ground Floor between GAP and Waitrose.
On Wednesday we were lucky enough to go down to the British Museum and attend the BCSC Opal Awards ceremony, which celebrate excellence shopping centre retail.
Knots & Socks (the Putney popup version) was nominated in the PopUp Shop/Temporary Retail category having been put forward for the award by Appear Here. It was a tough category including large established brands such as BMW.
And you'll never guess what happened...
Due to popular demand, we've brought back one of the first silk ties we ever made. We're always trying to bring out new designs, but sometimes customers just let you know that they're not done with something yet!
These will therefore be sticking around for now and the tie is available in three colours. Cheers!

We may have only just said goodbye to our summer shorts, but we're busy frantically preparing for Christmas. Stay tuned for news on how we're going to make this our largest winter season yet with new silk ties, new products, the return of our Putney pop-up shop (but bigger and better!) and much more!
For those popping into see us, here is a look at some of the new bags that our customers will be walking away from some of our events with!
We've started a campaign to try and crowdfund our first permanent shop, Knots & Socks. It's a partnership with Morrow's Outfitters and is a long-term site for our previous pop-up format. The following video tells you all about it or you can CLICK HERE to visit the campaign page:
As the video mentions, we sell some of the finest silk ties and socks available anywhere, and we'd love to make our two little brands, two of the big brands of the future. With your help, we can make a major step in that direction.
The shop is based in the historic Leadenhall Market, in the heart of the City of London. We hope to open the doors in April 2015 and we will keep you all updated with news as it happens.

Our 'KNOTS & SOCKS' Christmas pop-up shop has been open for almost a week now and we're incredibly busy down here at the Putney Exchange, SW15. We definitely want a full-time store for our Christmas present!
We're running very low on a number of styles now, so its worth getting down quick to catch the last few. We're also doing -15% off for two ties (£110.50), -20% off for three ties (£156) and -25% off for four ties (£195). These deals are only available in store.
So why not pop in and meet the team. We'd love to see you all!
We're always getting emails back from customers about how much they love Reef Knots silk ties, the fantastic quality and the beautiful gift boxes. We love getting these (so please don't stop!), but we thought it would great if we could get some of those messages across to our new or future customers. It's always difficult to persuade new people to part with their hard-earned money for one of our silk ties, especially if they've never heard of us before. We think the best way to help them make a decision is to get feedback from people that have already done just that.
All product reviews on our site are from verified customers (i.e. people that have actually purchased a tie through our website). Each customer receives an email a week or so after purchase which can be completed in a couple of seconds and posted with a click.
If you get one of these email, we'd love it if you could take 5 seconds to fill it in. It really helps us build a company for the future (plus it's good for the ego as we are yet to receive anything other than top marks!).
I don't think the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, would mind us saying that he's not known for his sharp sense of style. After all, this was the man photographed wearing his shorts back-to-front while out jogging.
However, it would appear that he's smartening his act up, especially on the tie front. He's also a big supporter of small London businesses like ours. Here he is rocking his new Navy Blue Turtles Silk Tie. We'd say it's a definite vote winner!
It's been a fantastic year at Reef Knots and we've been celebrating in style with an amazing tie giveaway for all those people that have supported us.
We've been giving away 100 FREE SILK TIES to anyone that buys a tie online and we've already been taken up on most of them. This is a very limited offer and there were only a few left at the time of writing. We sent them offer to our email list first (which is a good reason to sign up at the top of the page).
How do you take part? Just add two luxury silk ties to the shopping bag and use the code THANKYOU at checkout. We'll do the rest. That's a £65 thank you for being a great customer. You'll even qualify for FREE SHIPPING. You'll need to be quick...as when it's gone, it's gone for good!
We hope that 2014 has started well for all of our customers. We've certainly got a lot planned for the coming year as we continue to try and build the most exciting silk tie company in the UK.
Once our sale is over (it ends this weekend), the first order of business is getting our new line of silk ties online as soon as possible. Our new ties should be with us early in February and we apologise for anyone waiting to get hold of one for the slight delay in their arrival. We're constantly learning the silk tie business, but we feel that getting our men's ties as good as possible is more important than rushing them out. We've never had a silk tie returned to us on quality issues, and we want to keep it that way!
The good news though is that we have some fantastic colours and designs in the pipeline, and below is a little sneak peek at some of the new silk ties that will be floating in soon....
